NOTE: Toward the end of this I make a connection between upcycling and food, which may be confusing. Instead of relating it to upcycling, I should have made the connection to honoring the garments we have and focusing on quality, rather than quantity.
Also, sometimes I make mistakes with words. I also made a mistake about the solstice in stating that the days will be shorter and nights longer, but it’s the opposite from this point forward. It’s just that things feel so dark and days so short lately. I am imperfect.

I forgot to mention that I found a note I wrote to myself around 2007 that told me to read The Master and Margarita by Mikhail Bulgakov, so I started to listen to it during my commute. It’s so nice to receive a book recommendation from yourself from the past.
